We have thousands of legacy software solutions deployed around the world and we want to start monitoring both our applications and the infrastructure they are deployed on in order to improve our knowledge and support of these solutions.
We want to have elastic beats and logstash installed at the customer site to capture and ship data out of the customer site to a cloud instance of ElasticSearch where it can be analysed via Kibana.
Ideally we would like to utilise Predix but i could find examples of using elasticsearch and kibana like this. If you have a Predix Application there is logging services using elasticsearch, but we don't have a predix application and would just like to be able to send log events directly to an elasticsearch database held within predix.
Has anyone seen or done similar?

Since no one answered this yet, I'll put my non-answer in here. Sorry about that.
First of all the Beats product looks great. Nice find.
The Predix Search is quite new, so I myself, haven't heard of any solutions yet. You have a really good use case so I suggest you get with the Product Manager so they are aware of your effort and can take in any feedback.
Also, talking to the Advance Engagements team might give you some resource to ask questions to. @shekaripuram@ge.com can you reach out to Simon?
