Can any one explain me what is predix view service?

I can able to create view service but I just want to understand predix view service and it functionality.

There's a database behind the view service, which stores the state / layout / relationship information between cards and decks.

Hi Gary, what is the purpose of storing the "state / layout / relationship info" in database? is it for security purpose?
